Mr. Roberto Aguerrebere has a B.S. in civil engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a master’s degree in regional and urban development from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, France. After working on housing planning and policy at the Ministry of Urban Development and Ecology, he joined the Mexican Transportation Institute (IMT), where he was in charge of transport integration studies and, from 2009 to 2013, served as its general director.
Since long he collaborates in different capacities with the OECD-ITF Joint Transportation Research Center (JTRC) and is a member of the Board of the Centre for Sustainable Transportation-Mexico City of the EMBARQ-World Resources Institute network.
Since 2007 he is the first delegate of Mexico to the World Road Association (AIPCR/PIARC) and a member of its council.
He is currently the pperative coordinator of the Mexican Transportation Institute, where he is committed to foster new technological capabilities for improving safe, sustainable and competitive mobility for people and goods in Mexico.
Carlos Césarman has worked for several companies, including Banca Serfin, where he was part of the International Banking Department, Casa de Bolsa México and Vigilia Grupo (a steel conglomerate controlling ICH, SIMEC and Manufacturera de Tubos) as CFO.
In 1997 he started his own company named INOVAMED, known as the first Integrated Delivery System (in the healthcare sector) in Mexico. The group acquired Londres Clínica, a hospital in Mexico City. He sold the company in 2001.
The following year he started a business relationship with Grupo Tribasa and became an active agent in the company´s restructuring, which at that times was running under Chapter 11 proceedings.
In 2005 the firm is again listed in the Mexican exchange as PINFRA, an infrastructure projects´ promotion agency. He is currently PINFRA´s CFO.
José Zozaya has a degree in law from Mexico’s Universidad Iberoamericana and has pursued advanced studies in corporate and antitrust law at ITAM. He also participated in the Global Leadership Executive Program at Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona and took part in the Management Program for Lawyers at Yale University. He currently serves as CEO and chief representative of Kansas City Southern de México (KCSM). Prior to joining the KCSM management team, he was government relations and legal director for ExxonMobil Mexico.
Santiago is managing director at GBM Infraestructura, S.A. de C.V. Santiago´s responsibilities include origination, structuring, execution, monitoring and exit strategy, focusing in the energy, water and transportation sectors. Prior to becoming managing director he leaded the finance and acquisitions team for two years. Prior to working at GBM, Santiago was director of finance for Punta Mita Properties, a high end real estate development company. Before Punta Mita Properties, Santiago worked at Evercore in their energy and project finance group. Santiago holds a BS / BA from University of San Diego and an MBA from Darden Business School.
He received a law degree at UNAM, and has worked in the Grupo Aeropuertario in Mexico City since 2013 as the director of finances, and currently serves as general manager.
During his professional life he has held various positions in the finance world at the stave level including deputy general manager of savings, development and investment banking; he also served as the director of the national infrastructure fund (FONADIN), where he was responsible for the divestiture of highway fund FARAC (44,000MDP), and the financing of the T2 of the AICM, in addition to his roles as coordinator of the placement of Grupos Aereportuarios in the stock market (OMA, ASUR, GAP), and as deputy general manager of the Banca de Inversión y Financiamiento Corporativo (BANCOMEXT).
Juan Robles Martínez has worked as administration and finances director in the organization of potable water and treatment services in the Municipality of Tlalnepantla, and as municipal treasurer in two administrations in the same municipality. Currently he works as business director for government and organizations at BANOBRAS, which has allowed him to develop numerous financing schemes in infrastructure projects in the urban and social sectors, driving the development of projects in areas where it is most needed in the country. He has a degree in information technology from Universidad Tecnológica de México, and a graduate degree in finances in the same university, having also undertaken a degree in business administration at the IPADE Business School.
Jorge was born in Mexico City. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He earned graduate diplomas in metropolitan planning and management, compared politics at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and at the Facultad de Ciencias Políticas, respectively. He has also taken courses in political training in the global civil society -in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid- ; ancient history of the Middle East in Egypt; the Agricultural Cooperatives in Israel -a grant from the Embassy of Israel- among others.
In the political arena he has been a deputy in the VI Legislative Assembly for Mexico City, with positions in various committees, among them being the chairman of the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Metro Line 12, as well as Second representative for the Assembly of the Federal District and president of the Executive Committee for State Administration of the Federal District, in the Nueva Alianza political party.
In public administration, he held positions at the National Lottery as deputy general manager of marketing and services, as well as chief of staff; at the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System he was legal general manager and of regulations; at the Institute for Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE) he was legal general manager and for regulations, general coordinator of administration, regional delegate for Zona Norte and Chief of Staff; at the Federal Consumer Protection agency he was general director of metropolitan and federal delegations; he also was general director of the Mexico City´s Institute of Housing; executive director and trust delegate to the Housing, Social and Urban Development and political delegate in Alvaro Obregon and deputy director of protocol support at SOCICULTUR.
With over 34 years of service in the Comisión Federal de Electricidad, Guillermo Nevárez is the current rail and multimodal transport director in the Secretary of Communication and Transport. He oversees presidential projects of rail transport for passengers and freight, as well as affairs related to concessionaires and to the National Railway System. He is an industrial engineer in electricity graduated from Durango Institute of Technology; has an MBA from the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua and a master in leadership development by the Instituto de Ciencias y Educación Superior. He is now a doctoral candidate in global systems in San Diego Global Knowledge University.
Iván Rosas holds a degree in Economics with a major in Business Administration from Universidad de Oviedo (Spain) and a postgraduate diploma in Business Sciences majoring in Accounting and Information from the same university. He also holds a Masters’ Degree in Taxation from Universidad de Sevilla and attended a Public Accounting course sponsored by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. He currently serves as CFO and head of administration for the Mexican division of Spanish company Sacyr Construcción S.A. and is a member of the boards at Consorcio Viaducto GDL S.A.P.I.DE C.V. and Consorcio Túnel Guadalajara S.A.P.I. DE C.V. His previous work experience includes similar positions in the various branches of the parent company in Spain.
José Julio Martínez is an engineer and architect from Mexico’s Instituto Politécnico Nacional and has a Master’s in coastal engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain). Previous positions include coordinator of nautical projects at Mexico’s tourism promotion fund (Fonatur), construction and maintenance manager at Fonatur Los Cabos, and CEO at Marinas JMH S.A.
Mr. Sarzosa works in the Infrastructure and Energy Division at IIC. He is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing limited recourse and corporate financings for projects and companies in theenergy, transportation, water and sanitation, and oil and gas sectors in Latin America and the Caribbean. Mr. Sarzosa has over 20 years of experience working in Latin America. Originally from Ecuador, earlier in his career he held leadership positions at local and international commercial banks in his home country where he also was engaged in some entrepreneurial endeavors. Mr Sarzosa holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the InstitutoTecnológico y de EstudiosSuperiores de Monterrey in México.
Iker de Luisa Plazas holds a business administration degree from Mexico’s ITAM, a global logistics diplomafrom the University of California and a development administration doctorate degree from the University of Birmingham in the UK. He is currently a private consultant specializing in rail freight and passenger projects, and general director of the Mexican railroad association. His career includes collaboration on railway project development in several Mexican cities, in addition to private consulting with public and private entities.
Ricardo Díaz de León, who holds a Master’s in business corporate law, works with the infrastructure and mining sector at the ProMéxico public trust, which is part of the economy ministry. During his career in the public and private sectors, he has guided, advised and coordinated several infrastructure development projects. His work seeks to promote opportunities arising from the country’s national infrastructure plan, mainly through public private partnerships.
